Important Notice

This Privacy Policy applies to VidMe's platform under https://www.vidme.ai ("Platform") and our Landing Page. If you are using our API integration on your own servers, specific aspects of this Privacy Policy may not apply in the same way.

Definitions

To avoid confusion, let's define who we collect data from:

  • User: the person who uses the Platform to create and distribute AI-generated videos or manages videos created on our platform
  • Website visitors: People who visit our marketing landing page

We are data processor, you are data controller

With our Platform, we are a provider of this Service. We are not the owner of the content you create. The User (the person who creates videos i.e. you) is responsible for the content they create and thus is the data controller of that content.

Data we collect

This is the information we collect from Website visitors and Users as long as you are using our Service:

  • Electronic identification data: including anonymized IP address, device & browser data;
  • Anonymized information about your use of our website: including how you end up on our website, what actions you perform and the pages you visited.
  • Registration information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, username, hashed password and email address.
  • Billing information: If you pay for VidMe, we will ask for your billing details including name, address and financial information depending on your payment method (stored by our payment service provider Stripe)
  • Video data: We store your uploaded content, AI video generation parameters, and the generated videos for you and provide tools for you to manage and share this content.
  • Error logs: We collect error logs to help us diagnose and fix issues with our service.
  • Voice data: If you use our voice synthesis features, we may temporarily store voice recordings to process them for video creation.
  • Image data: If you upload images or avatar profiles for video creation, we store this data to generate your videos.

How we use your data

VidMe does not sell personal data to third parties. Generally, we only collect your data with your consent in order to:

  • Provide and improve our AI video generation Service.
  • Train our AI models to improve video quality (only with explicit consent).
  • Email you essential updates and offers (only if you're interested).
  • Ensure our product works smoothly and fix any issues.
  • Respond to legal situations and prevent fraud.
  • Let you engage with our Service's interactive features.
  • Support you when you need help.
  • Track how our Service is used.
  • Handle technical problems.
  • Manage our relationship with you, including billing.

Retention of Data

Data retention

If you are a VidMe User, we do not automatically delete the data in your account. You can delete data in your VidMe account at any time. You are responsible for the time period for which you store the data.

All video data which has been deleted by the User is permanently deleted from our back-ups within 90 days.

VidMe Users can exercise their rights directly with us.

User's Rights Under GDPR

  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word "Privacy", and can easily be found on the home page of our website.
  • Users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page.

Our Policy on "Do Not Track" Signals:

AI-Generated Content Policy

As a provider of AI video generation technology, VidMe takes special precautions regarding AI-generated content:

  1. Transparency: We require that AI-generated videos created on our platform are clearly labeled as AI-generated when distributed.
  2. Content Monitoring: We employ automated and human review systems to prevent the creation of harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent AI videos.

If Users register to VidMe, we may send them emails about company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. Users can always opt out of the email communications.
